Jihad 'Made in Kosovo'

Over the span of two days, 43 Islamic extremists were arrested in Kosovo. Dozens more are under watch, both at home and in the Middle East. As fears of terror attacks grow, Kosovo is clamping down.

Kosovo Festnahmen IS Kämpfer 12.08.2014

The act that triggered the largest police action in Kosovo since the war in 1999 was terrible and barbaric. The Kosovar jihadist Lavdrim Muhaxeri posted before and after photos of the beheading of a 19-year-old in Syria, where the jihadist is currently fighting for the Islamic State (IS). Those images were published in nearly every Kosovo newspaper and Internet portal and sparked outrage and deep shock among Kosovars.

Why I, as a Christian, believe we must banish evil British jihadis from these shores, says the former Archbishop of Canterbury LORD CAREY

  • Lord Carey wants those involved in terrorism to lose their passports
  • And for Britons to embrace multiculturalism and treat all cultures equally
  • Muslim communities are being pressured to discipline their young

By Lord Carey For The Mail On Sunday

The menacing advance of the Islamic State in Iraq should not prejudice Western people against Muslim people and the Islamic faith.

I once served as an  airman in Egypt and Iraq and can vouch for the kindness and goodness of many Muslim  people. Indeed, more than three million have made their home in Britain, and by far the majority want to get on and make good and peaceful homes among us.

But there is a darker side. Radical Islam is on the rise and imperilling our way of life, threatening to undermine the values that have been bitterly won over the centuries.

In recent weeks, we have heard desperate reports of  barbaric violence – including crucifixions and beheadings – accompanying the onward march of the terrorist group calling themselves ‘Islamic State’ (IS, formerly ISIS).

Boris Johnson Calls For 'Jihadi John', James Foley's Murderer, To Be Killed

Boris Johnson has said he wants the reportedly British jihadist who beheaded American journalist James Foley to be killed in a bomb attack.

The Mayor of London said Britain must take on Islamic State (IS) and "try to close it down now", warning that doing nothing would mean a "tide of terror will eventually lap at our own front door".

Mr Johnson, who has overall responsibility for the Metropolitan Police and is planning to return to parliament next year, called for new laws that would mean anyone visiting Iraq and Syria would be automatically presumed to be terrorists unless they had notified the authorities in advance.

Pope’s personal envoy calls for international action to liberate Iraq

Cardinal Filoni visits a school sheltering displaced Christians and Yazidis (AP)

Pope Francis’s personal envoy to the suffering people of Iraq joined the Chaldean Catholic patriarch in launching an appeal to the international community today, pleading for help to liberate villages controlled by the Islamic State terrorists and to provide the displaced with international protection.

Cardinal Fernando Filoni, who has been in Iraq since August 13 at the Pope’s request, and Chaldean Catholic Patriarch Louis Sako of Baghdad said international action was necessary to provide the displaced with basic necessities like food and water, but also to guarantee the possibility of their survival in Iraq.

Palestinian Official Daily: “The U.S. Established ISIS”

ISIS poses a threat to the entire Middle East region. They seek to conquer Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Jordan, Lebanon, and perhaps also Turkey after they are done with Iraq and Syria. Nevertheless, the official Palestinian Authority daily accuses the U.S. of establishing ISIS, instead of blaming their growth on sectarian tensions and the rise of radical Islam in the region.

According to Palestinian Media Watch, the official daily of the Palestinian Authority has published six different articles recently claiming that the United States established ISIS in order to control Arab Muslim countries by dividing them through terrorism and war. ISIS was declared to be a Caliphate with religious authority over all Muslims and they seek to invade Jordan, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, and perhaps also Turkey aside from Syria and Iraq.

Terrorist Group is Fusion of a Quasi-State, Radical Islam

Militant Islamist fighters wave flags as they take part in a military parade along the streets of Syria's northern Raqqa province, June 30, 2014.

The group calling itself “The Islamic State” continues its drive to conquer and rule a piece of the Middle East. Its violent campaign to spread its extreme form of Islam challenges the governments of both Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan.  A massive relief crisis is ongoing as hundreds of thousands of people flee its wave of terror and murder.

Radicals from all over the world are joining the Islamic State, driven by their shared desire to impose a radical brand of Islam in every land they conquer and create a ‘Caliphate” - an Islamic religious governing authority.

Statement by the State Information Services in response to the allegations made in the report issued by Human Rights Watch

The Egyptian government has taken note

Date of publication:Tuesday, 12 August 2014

the report issued by Human Rights Watch (HRW) on August 12. The report presents a highly negative and biased account of the violent events that took place in Egypt during the year 2013, and totally fails to adequately report on the attacks carried out by the Brotherhood, as a terrorist organization, and its supporters.

The content of the report did not come as a surprise to the Egyptian government, given the organization's well-known biases, and the approach it has consistently pursued. Accordingly, the Egyptian government utterly rejects the report and criticizes its biased perspective, which reaffirms the organization's persistent lack of objectivity towards Egypt. The report's portrayal of events that took place in July and August 2013 reflects a lack of professionalism by the organization's experts as they relied on unidentified witnesses as well as biased and non-credible sources. The report equally demonstrates an utter lack of understanding of the reality of the specificity of the Egyptian society and its political and ideological orientations that have developed throughout the past three years.  Moreover, the organization does not enjoy any legal status that may allow it to operate in Egypt.  The organization has indeed withdrawn its request for a permit to function in Egypt according to law no.84 of 2002.  As such, conducting investigations, collecting evidence, and interviewing witnesses without any legal backing are activities that constitute a flagrant violation of the established principle of state sovereignty under international law.

Islamic State Now Targeting East-Asia

by JORDAN SCHACHTEL  Officials from both Indonesia, the state with the world's largest Muslim population, and Malaysia have warned that the radical Islamic State (IS) terror group is now targeting their respective countries.

Indonesia and Malaysia, known for their more secular governing policies in relation to other Muslim-majority countries, are being targeted because they have thus far refused to follow the strict and oppressive Islamic Shariah law.

Iraqi militants remove crosses from churches, burn manuscripts

KIRKUK: Militants who took over large areas of northern Iraq on Thursday have forced 100,000 Christians to flee and have occupied churches, removing crosses and destroying manuscripts, Chaldean Patriarch Louis Sako said.
“There are 100,000 displaced Christians who have fled with nothing but their clothes, some of them on foot, to reach the Kurdistan region,” he told AFP.
“This is a humanitarian disaster. The churches are occupied, their crosses were taken down,” said Sako, the leader of Iraq’s largest Christian denomination, which is aligned with the Roman Catholic Church. He added that up to 1,500 manuscripts were burnt.

Anti-terrorism laws more frightening than racial abuse, says Muslim group

The Lebanese Muslim Association argues tighter security laws are aimed specifically at the Muslim community

Samier Dandan

The Abbott government’s proposed changes to anti-terrorism laws are “more destructive” than the shelved amendments to race laws, the Lebanese Muslim Association has argued.

Tony Abbott attempted to appeal to Islamic communities on Tuesday by dumping changes to the Racial Discrimination Act in order to preserve “national unity” at a time when the government was seeking to toughen security laws.

But the prime minister’s gesture failed to satisfy the Lebanese Muslim Association, which said the anti-terrorism amendments seemed to “target the Muslim community” and “give authorities unprecedented and intrusive powers”.
