في محاولة جادة نحو التعرف على إشكالية العلاقة بين القانون والدين ومبدأ المواطنة فى الدستور المصرى خاصة بعد أن نصت المادة الثانية من الدستور بعد تعديلها سنة 1980 على أن الشريعة الاسلامية هى المصدر الرئيسى للتشريع ، أعد الدكتور والفقيه القانوني محمد نور فرحات أستاذ القانون الدستوري دراسة جادة حول الدين والسياسة في الدستور المصري،والنتائج المترتبة على وضع المادة الثانية وتعديلها عام 1980،وعلاقة هذه المادة بالأقباط في مصر.
