Islam & the Future of Britain: A talk by Patrick Sookhdeo

Dear Barnabas Fund Supporter
,
The issue of shari'a courts in Scotland has been much in the news of late. We at Barnabas Fund are very concerned about the growing influence of Islam on the Church and society in Britain. We are therefore holding a series of meetings around the country entitled 'Islam, the Church and the Future of Britain'. One of these meetings is taking place near you at:

Charlotte Chapel
204 Rose Street
Edinburgh
EH2 4AZ

Saturday 8th November 2008

3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

We are asking three things of you if we may. Firstly we would like to invite you along: we believe it is the right message for the right season, and would value your involvement. Secondly we ask for your prayers. The issues that we will be dealing with are sensitive and challenging. It is done out of love, but prayer is needed so that the right message is portrayed. Thirdly we ask for your help in making the meeting known to people. Again, due to the sensitive nature of the subject, normal advertising methods cannot be used, perhaps you could forward this email to friends or Church members who might be interested, or publicise it in your Church – here is a link to a poster you could print to help you with this. If you would like us to mail you a poster or posters to your str eet address, please contact my colleague Peter Burnett on 024 7623 1923 or This email address is being protected from spambots. In these days of uncertainty, may our strength and hope be in Jesus alone.
With our Lord's blessings,

Patrick Sookhdeo
