Statement from the Coptic Organisation and the activists in the United Kingdom and Copts from all backgrounds and denominations.

The Coptic organisations in UK and Coptic activists held a joint meeting on Saturday 2nd April 2011 in London.

We the conferred Coptic organisations and the Coptic activists in UK out of our love to our motherland Egypt and our sense of moral duty to our brothers and sisters in Egypt and deep sense of and commitment to justice and Equality for all and our determination to express our support for the 25th January 2011 Revolution and in appreciation of the progressive values it promotes and the valued sacrifices they offered we decided to present this message of support.

We the conferred Coptic organisations and the Coptic activists in UK would like to stress our unshaken believe in the principles of Secular State, the total separation of religion from the state, Freedom, Equality and Justice for all Egyptians and in the same time totally reject and oppose the principle of the theocratic state. 

The Coptic organisations and the Coptic activists in UK would like to express our determination to work together, hand in hand with all Egyptians regardless of the religious believe to advance the principles of secular State, Freedom, Justice and Equality for all. We support the 25th January revolution youth in their effort to ensure that the democratic reforms are fully implemented and no return to corruption and dictatorship in Egypt.   

The Coptic organisations and the Coptic activists in UK would like to invite all individuals and associations who share the same principles to join us to work together for the advancement and progress of Egypt.
